Jesús B. Alonso-Hernández received the Telecommunication Engineer degree in 2001 and the Ph.D. degree in 2006 from University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) where he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Signal and Communications from 2002. He has numerous papers published in international journals and international conferences, and different patents. His research interests include signal processing in biocomputing, biometrics, nonlinear signal processing, recognition systems, audio characterization and data mining. He has been guest editor of different special issues of Journals as Cognitive Computation, Neural Network and Applicacions or Neurocomputing.
